10 days in Israel during Christmas holidays

Our itinerary was as follows:

  • Day 1: The flight to Eilat offered beautiful views of the Coast, Dead Sea, and Negev dessert. We landed in Ovda airport in the afternoon and took a bus to Eilat. We had booked the bus tickets online in advance and just printed it at the airport before boarding the bus. On reaching Eilat, we collected the rental car. Our first stop was at Owen‘s for late lunch. There we had Sabbisch, chicken platter, etc. It has very good reviews in Tripadvisor and it truly deserved that. We wanted to eat there again while in Eilat but somehow it didn’t fit in. Later we to our Airbnb and rested.
  • Day 2: Drove along Egypt border to Red canyon in the morning. Lunch at a fish joint near Ice mall. Walk at the promenade. Saw corals at coral beach. Musical fountain in the evening.
  • Day 3: Drove through Negev dessert. Saw Ramon crater. Visited Avgat ruins. Drove to Jerusalem Airbnb.
  • Day 4: Visited Jerusalem. This was the only day when we could visit Dome of the rock while staying in Jerusalem. So, despite heavy rain and wind, we visited it, had lunch and then came back to airbnb to relax.
